Working visit Oslo

EHP and Human-Etisk Forbund Norway will be hosting a working visit in Oslo next September. Each year the humanist confirmation ceremonies in Norway are a huge success. The working visit will consist of several professional and social activities.

Ceremony Seminar 4-6 September 2015: programme

Friday 4 September
17.00 – 19.30 Norwegian Humanist Association (Human-Etisk Forbund). Presentation.
Humanist Confirmation, History, Course Content, Camps and Ceremony.
Confirmation Course for Grown-Ups (Extracts).
20.00 Dinner

Saturday 5 September
12.30 – 14.00 Lunch
15.30 – 16.45 Confirmation Ceremony in Oslo Concert Hall (Oslo Konserthus)
18.00 – 23.00 Dinner and Social Programme

Sunday 6 September
10.00 – 13.00 Evaluation. Future Collaboration etc.
13.00 – 15.00 Lunch


Our Norwegian colleagues are kindly offering to provide people officiating ceremonies etc. their meals free of charge. However, other delegates will require to cover their own meal costs at a fixed price of € 250. This price includes 2 x lunch, 1 x dinner and 1 boat trip on the Oslofjord with shrimps (typical Norwegian seafood menu) and some wine/beer during the meals.

International Congress: Building Blocks for Humanist Education (13th-16th October 2016, Antwerp, Belgium)

EHP is proud to organise an international congress on humanist education, in October 2016. The congress will take place in the beautiful city of Antwerp, a cradle for humanism and free thought in Europe. Exchange program humanist chaplaincy (The Netherlands)

The Dutch Humanist Association and the University of Humanistic Studies, in cooperation with EHP will be hosting a conference on Humanist Chaplaincy in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The aim of the conference is to exchange and enhance knowledge on Humanist Chaplaincy and to provide participants with strategic knowledge on how to set up Humanist Chaplaincy within organizations in Health Care, Military and Prisons. Special attention is paid to actually experiencing methodologies and discussing various sources of inspiration.
